The XM-2000 is cheap and that's what you get. My bike arrived with some fair shipping damage which I had to fix with parts that X-treme mailed to me after two weeks. The center kickstand spring failed after a week, and the kickstand fell down, banging on the road (I fixed that with a replacement spring from the hardware store). The right brake lever sometimes gets stuck after stopping which disables the motor and leads to embarrassing situations at the intersection. Lubrication fixes that problem for a while, then it comes back. The speedometer hub makes a loud clicking noise which I fixed by greasing it really well. The front brake developed a serious issue with the brake cylinder which gets stuck, heating up and eating range. Range is currently down to about 6 miles which makes the scooter basically worthless. I'll have to take the (hydraulic) front brake system apart to fix it. The motor makes a loud whining noise at low speeds around 5mph, particularly uphill then becomes near silent at higher speeds. Acceleration and hill climbing is decent, can keep up with traffic well in 25 and 35mph zones. Tricky on roads with 40 mph speed limit or more as it can not quite keep up which leads to dangerous tailgating situations. | Satisfaction | Score |
